A trash truck turned right on a red light, striking our client as she was starting to cross in the crosswalk. She sustained significant abrasions, skin lacerations and a broken pelvis. She could not return to work in a job that required constant standing and therefore had to be retrained to a sedentary position. Our office successfully negotiated a 3.2 million dollar settlement for this wonderful client on the eve of trial.

A large truck sustained a puncture to the saddle tank of the tractor causing fuel to spill onto the freeway. This in turn caused several cars to lose control, one striking our client. The truck company argued no liability, pointing out that they could not have known of the puncture in time to pull over and therefore the accident was not their fault. The Jury found in Plaintiff’s favor finding that the driver was not properly trained to monitor his semi for excess fuel loss and also that the driver ignored other signs of fuel leaking from his vehicle. Thereafter the case was settled for over $350,000.
